Diary of a Freelancer: Confessions of a terrible "packer"

Download Here!
I got to spend a few days (last week) in Florida with some beautiful weather, family time, and a short trip to Disney. It really doesn't get much better then that.

But I have a confession to make while I loved every minute of the trip, no matter what trip I go on, the packing part is always a challenge for me. I always pack way more then I really need... you know "just in case"... and somehow I'll still manage to get to wherever I'm going and realize that I have a ton of clothes and accessories and none of them go together. For the last few trips I've gone on though, in order to attempt to fix this problem, I follow the packing list above and just cross out and add numbers based on each trip's itinerary. In addition, I try to plan out my outfits before I leave. I know that this might seem a bit excessive but it really helps me.

For this trip I packed: Comfortable shoes for Disney, Cute sandals for everyday wear, cap toe espadrilles, a light scarf for the airplane and cool nights, a delicate "goes with everything" necklace, a swimsuit (in my case maternity), two layering tanks, a pretty shirt in peach, and one (I know it's the same as the peach but maternity shopping is a challenge and when you find something that works it can't hurt to have more then one) in white, an airy sheer printed crop top, A striped Breton Tee, A patterned tank (on sale!!!), A great sundress (on sale!!!), an easy maxi dress, Boyfriend jeanswhite jeansboyfriend shortsa cardigan, and a beach sweaterBasically I tried to pick clothing items that can all be mixed and matched, will keep me comfortable, and still make me feel like I have variety and am put together. It also allowed me to bring a few extra pieces... "just in case"... without over doing it..

I'd love to know how you pack? Are you and over-packer like me? Or do you pack just what you need? Any tips or tricks you'd like to share? I'd love to hear about it.

xoxo
